I did somewhat better in writing than I did Thursday, but even though I did plan on putting my links to my posts here that night, I was in the middle of something and forgot all about it until I had barely enough time to even decide what I should do.
Total for this day is 1753 Well that total helps some for last nights lack.
To start out with I thought it would be nice to give an update on my health as it relates to the fall I took yesterday morning. Yesterday, I could barely stand at all without supporting myself with the walker; using the walker allowed me to put most of my weight on the walker rather than only on my knees. Maybe that wasn’t really the case for how does one get the main part of their weight distributed on their hands? I’m not sure whether that can really be done, but it sure helps having the walker for support.
Yesterday when I did try to stand without the walker, it hurt too much to do it for very long, whereas today, I was able to withstand the pressure of my weight for longer periods of time. I took ten minutes in the morning to wash some dishes. Later in the day I walked around the kitchen without the cane or walker and later yet I walked from the kitchen to the front door to turn on the porch light. We are guessing that is about twenty feet from point A to point B. Granted I walked slower than I have in a long time, but I was able to walk there and back.
It’s much easier for me to move about if I haven’t sat at my chair for long periods of time. That makes it a bit difficult for I am trying to get a major amount of writing in today, and I’ve done fairly well, although I’ve done most of it everywhere but here in this blog.
In fact, I should take ten minutes and get up and walk around a little bit to stretch out my legs. Be right back. Then my kids (daughters) came into the kitchen and I heard about their day today. I enjoy visiting with them, because soon they will be moving out and then things will be totally different, no more heart to hearts.
I set the walker aside, I think I can walk around without it now. I may take the cane to bed with me as it’s hard to get up in the middle of the night without holding onto something. Even before I fell it was hard to get up out of the bed but oddly enough it’s only hard the first time, after that it’s easier. I don’t understand why that is, but I like it.
I’m hoping that the doctor will clear me going back to work tomorrow and I’m hoping he won’t want to manipulate my knees to see how they are as that may throw off my being able to walk on them like I am.
My concern for tomorrow night while cashiering is that my shift is at least 6.5 hours if I remember correctly. Normally I have problems walking after my shift is over; I think the only way to make sure it’s not even worse this week is to take a few steps away from the register after every order or every few orders. The only thing is the customers may not be too happy about that as they are always in a hurry, other than the ones that know me, they will feel bad about the situation.
I’m going to end this post here. I had hoped to do more but I keep getting interrupted. I want to make sure I can post my word count on the official page before midnight.
I did a few reviews tonight and was planning on putting some of them on here. I will probably include them tomorrow, but not include the word count since I’ve included the count already in what I’ve written on my blogs and everywhere but here.
This post is 625 words, and the other places is 3166. Finally I’m getting more caught up. That totals =3791
Right now it’s still November 15, but in a few minutes it will be tomorrow, so this will be posted on the 16th even though I’m sharing about my busy day on the 15th. I got some writing done, but not anywhere near what I had hoped that I would. I wanted to get an additional two thousand words in before midnight. Ah well, you win some you lose some.
I did get words written and maybe close to the desired daily count of 1666, but I was hoping to catch up some today as I’m still quite a bit behind.
I did get a lot done, though, and that was nice. Other than getting some writing in, I worked on cleaning my stove top, which gets nasty as it’s over sixty years old as is most everything in our house. I did some filing, laundry, dishes and last but not least payroll. Of course I had to play a game or two, but I tried to stay away from that as much as possible.
I try to get over to my mother’s weekly to play cards. She lives alone and is legally blind. She gets bored easily. She watches a bit of tv, but has to sit about a foot away to see even the little bit that she can. I’d like to spend more time with her, but since I work the two jobs it makes it a bit difficult to manage.
I was hoping to make it to the gym today when my husband returned from getting his prosthetic adjusted. We were going to go together. It’s easier to stay longer if I have someone with me, even if we wouldn’t be working on the same type of machines.
I’m going to be even busier until Thanksgiving. Wed and Thursday were my days off this week, and my next day off isn’t until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I’m hoping that we can find folks that will let us clean their windows before Thanksgiving so we can make some money if for no other reason than to pay payroll for the week, but it would be nice to have extra to pay bills.
I may have to plan on getting the remainder of my word count in Black Friday, the next day Saturday and the last week of the month. Even though it will start to get busier as people begin to buy for Christmas gifts, hopefully it won’t be quite as busy as it will be this next week.
I’m running out of steam. Hopefully I’ll post more later today at a more normal time.
Word count 436.
I will say that I already have 1072 for today’s writing, written in one email and a messaging place on the writing site I’m a part of. I’m hoping to get 1500-2000 more words so I can catch up a bit more. At this point, the official site says I won’t have my 50 k until December 11 of this year. I’m hoping to get close to the goal before November is over.
I have six blogs on WordPress including this one. I also have one on blogger. I did start one on TypePad, but moved all those posts over to WordPress.
www.muchadoaboutmanything.wordpress.com – my first blog here, although it began with the next blog. I later split them up.
www.marsha4852.wordpress.com/ This I had to have for an English Comp course. I may use it again if I take any more classes, until then it will be dormant. I may put instructional items here like I did for the hanging indents.
www.muchadoaboutreviews.wordpress.com – book reviews.
I’m going to include the link to my blogger account with Google but I haven’t posted anything there since early 2011. As I’ve said before, I was going to move all those posts over to WordPress as I had more views in a couple of months in WordPress than I did over a few years with blogger.
The day I was going to begin to move things over, I realized that my blog qualified for some type of advertisements to help make me money. I have to check that out further to see if it’s something I want to do or not.
So far today I have 315 words here and the 1072 explained above, totalling=1387. More to come later. Thanks for reading.
