Well I was thinking first thing this morning about taking a break from all my writing so I can get a head start on my bookkeeping before the end of the year as I’ve not been doing much with it. Then I remembered that I have to wait until next month to lay low for a bit because I still have nano to complete. So, sorry folks but you’re not going to be rid of me yet.
I did a bit better today as I wrote two extra posts than yesterday. Not bad considering that I got quite a few things done around the house today. I bought tags for my husband’s car which are due before the New Year, got dishes done, a bit of laundry. Cleaned the new stove some, and the counters. Filled out some forms; online and off, and some other tidbits here and there. And I almost forgot I worked on a manuscript that I’m helping to edit as well. Granted it’s for a children’s book so it’s not very long, but there is still a lot to remember and make sure that it’s the best it can be.
Now for what I wrote today:
Total words 2136. Good that will help make up for yesterday. One of these days I need to sign in to the official nano site and begin to upload my actual words so they can make the count for me. It will take work to accomplish this and with getting ready for Thanksgiving, I’m not sure when I’ll be able to fit it in, but I expect that I will somewhere along the way and hopefully not at the last minute.
2261 TOTAL WORDS
Right now it’s still November 15, but in a few minutes it will be tomorrow, so this will be posted on the 16th even though I’m sharing about my busy day on the 15th. I got some writing done, but not anywhere near what I had hoped that I would. I wanted to get an additional two thousand words in before midnight. Ah well, you win some you lose some.
I did get words written and maybe close to the desired daily count of 1666, but I was hoping to catch up some today as I’m still quite a bit behind.
I did get a lot done, though, and that was nice. Other than getting some writing in, I worked on cleaning my stove top, which gets nasty as it’s over sixty years old as is most everything in our house. I did some filing, laundry, dishes and last but not least payroll. Of course I had to play a game or two, but I tried to stay away from that as much as possible.
I try to get over to my mother’s weekly to play cards. She lives alone and is legally blind. She gets bored easily. She watches a bit of tv, but has to sit about a foot away to see even the little bit that she can. I’d like to spend more time with her, but since I work the two jobs it makes it a bit difficult to manage.
I was hoping to make it to the gym today when my husband returned from getting his prosthetic adjusted. We were going to go together. It’s easier to stay longer if I have someone with me, even if we wouldn’t be working on the same type of machines.
I’m going to be even busier until Thanksgiving. Wed and Thursday were my days off this week, and my next day off isn’t until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I’m hoping that we can find folks that will let us clean their windows before Thanksgiving so we can make some money if for no other reason than to pay payroll for the week, but it would be nice to have extra to pay bills.
I may have to plan on getting the remainder of my word count in Black Friday, the next day Saturday and the last week of the month. Even though it will start to get busier as people begin to buy for Christmas gifts, hopefully it won’t be quite as busy as it will be this next week.
I’m running out of steam. Hopefully I’ll post more later today at a more normal time.
Word count 436.
